Having a Wi-Fi in your network provides an extra benefit of being wireless. Today's laptop and smartphones comes with inbuilt wireless network features. In many homes and offices, there are so many devices which needs to connect through Wi-Fi. For this purpose i propose the following Wi-Fi configuration for Home users and small office users.
- Do not use DHCP server
- Always change default IP
- Always change default password
- Always keep strong pre-shared passkeys
- Must enable MAC address access filter list
- Always try to hide SSID
Note : If your access point have Dual Radio features, Please use 5 GHZ radio band so that you will get maximum coverage/speed within your home or office. |
